It is owned by Hearst Television alongside Clermont-licensed CW affiliate WKCF (channel 18). The two stations share studios on North Wymore Road in Eatonville (using a Winter Park address); WESH's transmitter is located on Brown Road near Christmas, Florida.

Andrea Coudriet left WESH in 1996 following a 14-year stint. Martha Sugalski joined WESH in 2006 and left in 2014. She joined WFTV-Channel 9 in 2015. Marc Middleton left WESH in 2006 after serving as the station's sports director for 14 years.
