“Kinda hidden away but an amazing gem of a coffee shop (Vietnamese based). Would highly recommend the coconut coffee or their signature Viet coffee (there is a morning and afternoon version that varies in strength/caffeine). All drinks go well hot or cold (one does not get more diluted than the other). Reasonably priced for the quality of drink and en par to most coffee shops in Calgary ($6-7). There is an ample amount of seating and it can be quiet enough for a person to read/work in most times. They serve food also and snacks (buns/donut/cupcakes) along with Vietnamese dessert like drinks. For those who like salted egg, they have a really good unique cupcake!“

“I wanted to thank the owner of Congress Coffee. On October 23, I was flying to Edmonton and my flight was cancelled. The airline wasn't helpful and I was going to be delayed 24 hours. I had to "sleep" in the terminal. I took at taxi to Red Arrow in the morning and went to Congress Coffee for breakfast. After listening to my story, the owner gave me breakfast and a coffee free of charge. It was a very kind gesture after a very challenging evening. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.“

“I’m in love with this place after first visit!We hopped in really randomly cause we were just biking around and saw this little ice cream and coffee shop, so we decided to give it a try and oh my gosh it was the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Honestly I am not a big fan of ice cream just cause it’s usually loaded with sugar and dairy and barely has any natural flavour, but here I tried the pistachio and it was just perfect!You can really tell that it has lots of pistachio paste in it which makes it so full of flavour and perfect nutty texture!My boyfriend got a Rogue Coffee flavour which is also made with a coffee from Canadian best roasters Rogue Wave. And of course it was delicious as well!Even sorbets are very smooth and tasty!Not only enjoyed the best ice cream in the world but also had a wonderful coffee.It made my day so much better knowing that there is such a good, eco friendly and sustainable coffee and ice cream shop with amazing menu items.Although it’s really small inside, they do also have a patio and the area is very quiet with a nice view, but also the interior is very cozy and inspiring.“

“Found this place mistiming a workshop.The chai latte is really good. More chai spice opposed to chai sweet. I used oat milk.Nice music/ambience. The music sounds like lofi beats and I love listening to this music while working.Great boutique place to check out.Has food options - I had food, so didn't grab any. Looked like a croissant, muffin, cookie, cinnamon bun, grilled cheese, and some other things. Looks vegan friendly. But unsure wholly. Definitely vegetarian.Thought their cash register was a cool solution to wider counter tops. It was a slider the cashier pushed back and forth.Definitely recommend checking out.“

If u live in kensington area there is no reason for you to go buy bagel from tim hortons. Their’s were so much better and the same price so PLEASE support a small business.“

“Mmmm, what a perfect slice of za!!! We ordered the New Yorker with mushrooms. OMG!!! The way the fire curls up the edges of the pepperoni. Creating the perfect salty/spicy bite each time. OMG!!! ??The oh, so perfectly foldable seasoned crust. We went on a Thursday and had a bottle of wine for 25% off. What a perfect combination. We will definitely return. Is it Thursday yet?!“

“I love Primary Colours, so much in fact I went back twice in a week. It seems a lot more relaxed than other brunch spots and runs at a slower pace.I haven’t explored very far away from a classic eggs Benny, with only going to mushroom hash with a poached egg and hollandaise on it.Need to book in advance on weekends, well worth it.“

“The other day I ordered a matcha latte from the great people at Good Earth and I was pleasantly surprised. This wasn't my first matcha latte however I do have to admit this is the first one that I said wow after drinking. Not to mention they did some good work on the latte art. Also, the selection of baked goods and teas is quite impressive as well. Great job!“

“I haven't tried much of the food, unfortunately. However, their strawberry latte would have to be one of my favorite drinks, being a huge strawberry fan. “This cafe is almost ALWAYS jam packed with people. In theory it's a great place to hunker down and get work done but it can be really hard to find a free table, and when it's packed it gets quite loud. I usually just take something to go. My favourite drinks are the snow dragon latte (it's a tea latte) and thr matcha latte. I tried their hot chocolate entry for hot chocolate fest this year and it was tasty and interesting-a mix of sweet and salty with the maple and bacon bits.“

“Went with a friend earlier today, we were welcomed with a friendly smile and polite greeting by one of the staff immediately, which was refreshing. Browsing the menu was easy and we were offered help promptly, though we didn’t need it.The menu sported a variety of yummy treats, drinks, snacks, and even meals, though I only tried a ginger cookie and the “Calgary fog” tea today. My friend tried the peanut butter-marshmallow square and a hot chocolate. The staff was kind enough to serve our drinks to us at the table we chose!! We were both very pleased, the drinks were lovely and the treats were tasty. The location has a busy parking lot, but overall is convenient as it’s close to transit and the parking lot may be busy but does usually have room for parking in spite of that.Despite the shop itself also being busy at times, I noticed the staff working hard to keep everyone happy, behind the counter running smoothly, and keeping the area tidy. Overall, a great little coffee shop with a lot to offer and fantastic customer service, I will definitely be returning and 10/10 would recommend!! (This review has been cross-posted.)“

“I love Phil’s. The 80s decor, the choice of three pancake syrups, the carafe of coffee. It’s easy to relax into the large booths as you start your morning.Always fast and efficient service. They have your classic seen-it-all diner waitresses which adds to the experience. This is not a gourmet experience, but rather a diner breakfast that is exceptionally consistent and filling. It’s not a wildly good value, but not outrageously expensive either. The senior citizens who frequent it understand. This spot is no fuss, get what you pay for, breakfast food.I will say I’ve never eaten a meal other than breakfast here. Maybe one day. But as long as there’s chubbies and eggs with a choice of two sides (cottage cheese and a buckwheat pancake, please) I can’t imagine going for any other meal.Dietary restrictions: Phil’s can accommodate gluten-free.Parking: Usually lots of parking lot spots.“

“This place is great! I got in expecting a regular pharmacy and ended up with so much more than just a pharmacy. Amazing place. What surprised me is that they sell Hayley Williams’ hair dye products, Good Dye Young. They are super hard to find in Canada and I had never seen them in person in my life. So awesome!!!“

“The barista was so nice and helpful! The pastries were delicious (almond croissant, cookie and a spinach and feta pastry) and flakey. I asked about gluten free options for a friend and staff was so educated and honest, they had gluten free but couldn’t guarantee it had never been touched by flour, it was so nice to have that information as my friend is extremely sensitive. Overall a 10/10“

“I can’t describe much because this is just perfect place for tea (coffee) time with some pastries/cookies/biscuits ? I loved the environment here with great coffee smell ;) All staffs were super friendly and nice, and it was very clean - but hard to find spots to sit because of so many people (which is not a big issue to me ?). There are few tables outside - perfect for today like enjoying coffees in some chill but sunny day.I had iced Americano, cheese knot, Almond croissant, all were great. I especially loved the cheese knot warmed as recommended by staff. I will be returning again to try more coffees and bakery things. Coffee was good as well ??*I think this place is ‘pet-friendly’ that I have seen few dogs came in lash for pick-up order. I was surprised in good way !“
