The Best Weapon Blessings in Darktide
We will start our list of the 10 best blessings from #10 and work our way to #1. Afterward, we’ll present you a few alternate choices that didn’t make our top picks but can situationally be very powerful as well.
10. Surgical – Increase Your Critical Hit Chance
First on our list is the Surgical blessing, which grants between +2-5% Critical Chance while aiming. This Blessing builds stacks over time, up to a maximum of five times.
This weapon blessing can be found on Helbore Lasguns, Headhunter Autoguns, the Mk IIa Quickdraw Stub Revolver, the MK IIb Spearhead Boltgun, and the MkV Kickback.
The longer you aim with Surgical, the more Critical Chance you accumulate gradually. Of course, this Blessing isn’t great on the Kickback or the Stub Revolver. However, this Blessing is excellent on the Autogun and even better on the Helbore Lasgun.
This is one of the few blessings in Darktide which you don’t have to change your gameplay style to benefit from it. Just aim and get extra critical hit chance in Darktide.
9. Warp Flurry – A Necessity for Any Psyker Force Staff Build
Warp Flurry is a Psyker-only weapon blessing in Darktide. Yet, it can significantly impact this class’ playstyle. It grants a +4 to 10% Charge Rate on chained secondary attacks, stacking up to five times. If you’re using a Force Staff in your Psyker build, you will be using a secondary attack almost 90% of the time and typically spamming it.
Comboing with the Psyker’s passive Battle Meditation, which gives you a 10% chance to Quell Peril on kill, allows you to fire off more charged Warp attacks from your Force Staffs.
Warp Flurry also stacks, making those five stacks have the potential to reduce your charge rate by 50%. If luck is on your side with Battle Meditation when fighting a large horde, you can annihilate your enemies in seconds. Although Warp Flurry may sound dull on paper, it’s far more thrilling when put into action.
8. Transfer Peril – Another Psyker Exclusive Blessing in Darktide to Quell Peril Quickly
Another Psyker-exclusive Blessing was found to be too powerful to ignore. “Transfer Peril” allows you to quell 2-5% of your peril on a weak spot hit. While this may sound underwhelming, it is actually one of the strongest Blessings that can be obtained from a Force Staff.
Using a charged secondary attack on a large horde gives you several chances to quell a small amount of peril instantly, and it also works in conjunction with your Battle Meditation passive.
We would have ranked this Blessing much higher on the list, but it is only found on the Voidstrike and Trauma Force staffs. Transfer Peel is mainly used on the Voidstrike staff. This is because its charged secondary is much more reliable at hitting weak spots. Yet, it is still an extremely strong Blessing for Psykers.
7. Inspiring Barrage – Regenerate Melee Class Toughness Easily and Quickly
Inspiring Barrage is a great blessing for classes such as the Zealot and Ogryn, who love to get into the thick of a fight. It replenishes 10% Toughness over time during continuous fire. This bonus stacks up to five times. This Blessing can be found on weapons like the Flamer, Ripper Gun, Heavy Stubber, and Boltgun.
When used on a weapon with a massive magazine, such as the Flamer or Heavy Stubber, you can regenerate over 50% of your Toughness every few moments by simply spraying and praying. It’s incredibly helpful to replenish any chip damage you may take while on the front line. Any weapon blessing in Darktide that helps replenish Toughness is extremely strong; we must agree.
6. Headtaker – A Great Weapon Blessing for Multi-Target Melee Weapons
Headtaker is a Darktide weapon blessing that can be acquired on many different melee weapons. It grants +2-5 Power on hit, stacking five times. This Blessing can be found on the Combat Axe, Tactical Axe, Chainaxe, Heavy Sword, and Thunder Hammer, among others. Headtaker is great for both single-target and Cleave fights since the bonus Power increases while striking any enemy.
Headtaker is exceptionally strong due to how easy it is to activate the Blessing; sadly, this Blessing primarily resides on axes, which tend to be single-target weapons. You can find it on one Hunter Hammer and one Chainaxe, but if you prefer something other than a single-target weapon, you might not want to use this Blessing.
5. Savage Sweep – To Increase Your Cleave and Clear Hordes Faster
This blessing is a common yet powerful buff found across several different weapons used by all Darktide classes. Savage Sweep grants between +100-200% cleave for three seconds on hitting multiple enemies with a melee hit.
This blessing can be found on the Devil’s Claw Sword, Power Sword, Heavy Eviscerator, Assault Chainsword, and Cleaver, to name a few.
The insane amount of Cleave this buff provides, even at lower ranks, is absolutely incredible. It is still one of the strongest pure Cleave buff Blessings in Darktide, and we highly recommend that you try it out if you haven’t done so already.
The only downside to this blessing is that if you want to cleave through a lot of enemies, you will need a weapon that can handle striking through a lot of hit mass.
4. Thrust – A Great Weapon Blessing to Increase Heavy Attack Damage in Darktide
Thrust is a unique blessing that rewards you for longer and more patient strikes. It grants up to +5-20% power, scaling with the charge time of your heavy attack, stacking up to three times.
This blessing can be found on several weapons, including the Thunder Hammer, Cleaver, Chainaxe, Combat Axe, and Bully Club, to name a few. The way Thrust works is that the longer you hold your heavy melee attack, the stronger the strike becomes.
Thrust can become extremely deadly when fighting Elites such as Crushers or Bosses like the Daemonhost when paired with the right weapon, such as the Thunder Hammer. Typically, it is not advisable to hold your heavy attacks for their entire charge duration. This is because you want to maximize the minimum amount of time needed to execute a heavy attack.
Yet, with this perk, you are rewarded with more damage instead of being punished for wasting potential damage by holding your attack.

3. Confident Strike – An Exceptional, Ogryn-Only, Darktide Weapon Blessing
For our third-best blessing in Darktide, we have Confident Strike. This Blessing grants +5-8% Toughness on Chained Hit. It can be found on the Power Maul, Cleaver, Bully Club, and Slab Shield, to name a few. Confident Strike is mainly found on Ogryn-only weapons but works exceptionally well for them.
Paired with Ogryn’s level 5 talent, The Best Form of Defense grants the big lad insane amounts of Toughness replenishment. Confident Strike only works on follow-up hits, meaning you will gain Toughness on the second and third swings in a hit chain. However, Ogryn builds love chaining heavy attacks together, making this blessing extremely strong against the countless hordes Darktide throws at you.
2. Slaughterer – Increase Your Power Significantly
Runner-up on our list of the best weapon blessings in Darktide is Slaughterer. This Blessing grants +7.5-15% Power for 2 seconds on kill, stacking up to five times.
This blessing can be found on the cleaver, thunder hammer, power sword, blaze force sword, and chainaxe. Slaughterer is a fantastic blessing simply because it gives you a large amount of power in Darktide after every kill.
Slaughter has the potential to boost your power by 75% if you have this blessing at a high rank. As a side note, for those unaware, power adds to all of your offensive stats, including damage, cleave, and stagger. Along with its easy method of activation for the blessing, it is one of the strongest weapon buffs you can acquire in Darktide.
1. Momentum – The Best Weapon Blessing in Darktide
Our top pick for the best weapon blessing in Darktide goes to Momentum. It grants +7.5-15% Toughness on multiple melee hits. This Blessing can be found on the Thunder Hammer, Cleaver, Heavy Eviscerator, and Bully Club.
We put this at the top of our list for multiple reasons. Foremost, toughness replenishment is extremely important in higher difficulties. It is a better alternative to our previous entry, Confident Strike, and is paired with some of Darktide’s strongest weapons.
Momentum is extremely strong, and we highly recommend it as one of your two Blessings for your melee weapon. Momentum can provide an insane amount of Toughness regeneration whenever you find yourself in a bad situation, so long as there are at least two nearby enemies to hit.
Honorable Mentions
Plenty of Blessings in Darktide are still exceptionally strong and should be considered as an alternative or have the potential to match your build. Blessings and other stats are always changing, but here are a few honorable mentions for now.
1. Wrath – For More Cleave to Take on Hordes
Wrath grants you a 10-20% Cleave on hit, stacking up to five times. This weapon blessing is one of the best Blessings in Darktide to take if you love Cleave and use either the Assault Chainsword or the Devil’s Claw sword.
2. Pinning Fire – A Perfect Pairing to the Boltgun
Pinning Fire grants you +5 to 20% Power for every Enemy you stagger, stacking up to five times. This Blessing is exclusive to the Boltgun, and everyone knows that the Boltgun is one of Darktide’s strongest ranged weapons. Each shot from the Boltgun deals an immense amount of stagger, making it relatively easy to accumulate bonus Power.
3. Power Cycler – For Chaining High Damage on the Power Sword
Power Cycler is another exclusive blessing in Warhammer 40k: Darktide only available on the Power Sword. This blessing increases your energized duration when landing chained energized hits. It allows you to extend the duration of the active ability of the Power Sword. In turn, it gives you more time for successive strikes without needing to reactivate the sword.
4. Deflector – A Darktide Weapon Blessing to Drastically Increase Psyker Defenses

Brutal Momentum is a fantastic blessing when you need to dispatch a large foe. It lets you completely ignore enemy hit mass for 1.5-4.5 seconds on a weak spot kill, which is insanely powerful in Darktide.
Brutal Momentum unlocks your mortal limits for a short duration, allowing your strikes to cut through whoever and whatever you want for a few seconds after scoring a kill. We highly recommend this Blessing as an alternative to any weapon that can be found.
